چکیده

The creation of new drugs and feed additives is an urgent task that contributes to the growth efficiency livestock poultry industries agriculture, especially during period import substitution in Russian Federation. An experimental study possible changes body laboratory animals after single or multiple uses necessary for toxicological assessment newly created products. Single intragastric administration additive Endoforce Multi containing live vegetative cells spores cultures: Bacillus subtilis B-5449, B-1323, B-3679 - 5.0 109 CFU / ml, at a dose many times higher than recommended, did not lead death animals, which confirmed absence its acute toxicity. Over entire observation period, authors note any disturbances rats’ behavioural reactions physiological states. Determination chronic toxicity was carried out 30 days. studied suspension given with water rats groups doses: 1st 100 mg, 2nd 150 mg 3rd 200 per head. At end empirical study, increase number erythrocytes by 2.68–3.72 1012/l, haemoglobin 41.50–61.58 g/l compared control ones revealed, indicated blood oxygenation organism as whole. In addition, groups, decrease content urea 3.14 ± 0.53 4.68 0.41 mmol l creatinine 32.26 5.18 48.13 6.23 µmol/l. opposite trend observed when determining serum activity alkaline phosphatase, increased 39.0–52.6% intact individuals, dynamic processes growth, formation development skeleton. According results autopsy regardless introduction Multi, no pathological colour, consistency size internal organs were registered.

The use of antibiotics as feed additives for farm animals.

Antibiotics are added at low concentrations to feeds as growth stimulants and at therapeutic levels to cure known diseases. As their action in both instances is to modify bacterial, protozoal or fungal populations, the division between the two categories is indistinct ; this is especially so when intermediate levels are considered. The present outline of use includes other feed additives which ...

Feed additives used to supplement dairy rations can increase daily feed cost from 2 to 65 per animal. The economic response (benefit to cost ratio) varies from $2.00 to $12.00 for each dollar invested in a specific additive. Knowledgeable dairy veterinarians must understand the role of each additive, when it will be beneficial, inclusion level, strategies and limitations associated with an addi...

A total of 150 weanling pigs [(Landrace × Yorkshire) × Duroc, BW = 6.76 ± 0.61 kg] were used in a 42-d trial to investigate the effects of dietary Aviplus-S supplementation on growth performance, fecal score, fecal moisture, fecal pH, and blood profiles. Pigs were randomly assigned to 1 of 5 treatments according to BW. Dietary treatments were NC, basal diet (without antibiotics); PC, NC + 39 mg...

Ruminant Nutrition: Feed Additives

Feed additives are largely used in beef cattle diets to improve performance and reduce risks of nutritional disorder diseases like acidosis and timpanism. However, some countries tend to ban the use of ionophore in animal nutrition due to the risk of resistance of some microorganisms. Therefore, alternatives to non-antibiotic additives must be studied. The objective of this work was to investig...

Marine algae have recently emerged as a new exciting source of biofuel. Our objective was to determine effect of supplemental defatted algal biomass from biofuel production on biochemical indicators of protein metabolism in plasma of weanling pigs. A total of 27 weanling pigs (BW = 10.69 ± 0.22 kg) were divided into 3 groups (n = 9/group), and fed a corn-soybean meal basal diet (BD), the BD plu...
